THE STORY BEHIND THE ART
This painting captures the essence of the English countryside, a dreamscape woven from the golden days of summer 2024 in the Berkshires. We visited the National Trust parks surrounding Cliveden House, where the green parkland stretched to the river under a soft, cerulean sky. Ancient oaks stood as silent witnesses to centuries of history. Wills ran ahead on the winding paths, his laughter echoing through the trees, while William and I marveled at the day. When we returned home, those moments lingered in my mind like a melody I couldn’t let go. Though painted from memory, the scene felt alive—imbued with the magic of those sweet days. It serves as a reminder that beauty, whether in art or life, is best shared with those we love
