Thoughtful Art with Meaning
Inspiration from My Journey
As a visual artist, my life experiences shape my work. From my years as a photographer, I bring an acute awareness of light, composition, and emotion into my paintings. My background in photography gave me a foundation in visual storytelling, and now, as a painter, I translate those same emotions into color, movement, and texture.
My journey into painting was also deeply personal. Becoming a mother, experiencing loss, and embracing new seasons of life all played a role in my artistic evolution. I wanted to create pieces that felt timeless—art that could live in homes, bringing joy, nostalgia, and beauty to those who experience it
While creating this online gallery and the contents of the shop I thought specifically about two types of collectors. This thought process comes from years of experience in the wedding industry.
Collectors:
- Newlyweds- so many couples start creating their own home together shortly after the wedding and I wanted to have art that spoke directly to their needs. Beautiful accessible art prints that brighten the room and start to tell the story of their lives together. This is where the idea of fine art prints came into play. Every couple deserves beautiful walls in their homes and these art prints will really brighten their day!
- Mothers - During the wedding process it is most often the mothers who are the unsung heroes. When I painted the series "Flowers that Last" I thought of them during each painting. I thought about the bouquets at the end of the night and the arrangements thrown in the trash and how lovely it would be for each mother of the bride or groom to have a FLOWER THAT LASTS.
